Los Angeles – Small electric car from Mitsubishi, i-MiEV, will reportedly be cheaper next year. Mitsubishi will reduce 20 percent of the selling price for 2014 model.

i-MiEV 2014 models sell from U.S. $ 23,845, but get U.S. $ 7,500 discount. So the price of this electric car is U.S. $ 16,345.

Not only that, the Japanese manufacturer is also making some changes in this electric car, such as aluminum rims, electric charging port to make it faster charging, rear speakers, front seats with heating system and steering rod coated with leather.

“After evaluating the market conditions, we have decided to set i-MiEV price position to be more competitive,” said a spokesman for Mitsubishi as quoted from Autonews, Wednesday (12/5, 2013).

This cutting price of electric car is actually following some car manufacturers such as Nissan, General Motors and Ford which already made in the U.S. before.
